13/03/2010WestsTwoDayFourthLostWests 50ovrs 9/233 TVCC 28.3ovrs 10/81James Mazengarb 3/36 Burglar Ashe 2/44 Ev Boucher 1/33 Benny Wilson 10*After winning the toss we sent wests in to bat. Bowled and fielded okay but overall i think the boys were a little flat on a day that was terriffic for playing cricket. Mazengarb bowled well for his 3 fa, and was backed up by some other tight stuff at times. Batting really let the game drift away with only sundries (29) and Benny Wilson(10*) making double figures.

Batting first we struggled a little early on finding ourselves at 5/39. But Sean Dunn and Benny Wilson steadied us and some great little knocks from Macca, Shlongy and The Hound, we managed to come away with a respectable 170. With still a few overs to bowl in the day, we passed our goal, and had them 3fa heading into day 2. With all the lads full of confidence, day 2 started with a clinic of bowling from The Couger and the pale skinned carrot-top. Coug's showed that he's like a vintage is only getting better with age, bamboozling and baffling the opposition with an arousing display of bowling. Dave Hoitink (4/27) cleaned through the heart of the belco boys team and with wickets being shared between 'The work-horse Boucher', James, Brendo and Charlotte Webb, we were off to the clubhouse early to celebrate a much deserved victory!!

Great attitude in the field and one of the best bowling performances all season helped us to be very confident going into day two. Evan and James were backed up superbly with a tight display from Dave and the 'young at heart' Couger Dunn. Unfortunatly day two was better spent on the punt, knocking over schooners as the heavy rain washed away any chance of what should have been a well earned victory for the vikings!
31/01/2010WestsOneDaySecondWonSemi Final TVCC 145 def West 102M.Floros 45*, S.Thornton 31. T. Chrome 5/16, R.Parry 3 faWe won the toss and batted first on what looked like a challenging deck to bat on with the thoughts of it was only going to get harder as the day went on. We got away to a reasonable start being 0/40 off the first 11 but proceeded to loose wickets regularly to be all out in the final over for 145. Matty Floros battled hard for a well made 45* which would turn out to be a match winning effort from the 17 year old. Enter Tim Chrome. After running himself out for a 1st ball duck (his 3rd in a row) he proceed to bowl an almost unplayable spell on fast bowlers dream pitch. His 5/16 along with Reece’s 3 wickets and 1 run out was enough to get us into the GF in 2 weeks.
30/01/2010ANUTwoDayFirstWonTVCC won outright ANU 1st Inn 136 2nd Inn 193 TVCC 3-176dec & 4-153 A.Ritchard 4 & 3 Wickets B.Floros 63 & 4 Wickets V.Bennett 49n.o & 57 E.Kellar 4-40We won the toss put ANU in & after day 1, we bowled them out for 136 Richo 4-41 & Kellar 4-40. We declared 3-176 E.Witheridge 52n.o & V.Bennett 49n.o. Then send them in again with 10 overs to go and they were 1-25 Hammo getting a run out. On day two we bowled them out for 193 with B.Floros getting 4 & Ritcho 3 wickets. We then had 49 overs to get 153 to win and we got the runs 4 down in the 38 over. A solid outright win which puts us back in the top 4.
30/01/2010ANUTwoDaySecondWonTVCC 266 beat ANU 210Barra 113, T.Flo 39, B.Jones 39. R.Parry 3 fa T.Chrome 3 faAfter winning the toss and deciding to bat on what look a good track, we were soon in big trouble at 3/6 and then 4/20. A great knock of 113 from the 16 year old Barra who was well supported by Guy and fellow youngsters Jonesy and T.Flo got us to a respectable 266. We then managed to take regular wickets to roll the students for 210. The ever green Reece Parry bagging 3 with debutant Tim Chrome managing to put his disappointment with the bat behind him to also claim 3.
24/01/2010WestsOneDayFirstWonSuper Six TVCC 204 defeated Wests 177A.Ritchard 50 J.Evans 39 B.Floros 39 - A.Ritchard 4-31 E.Kellar 3-11We batted first and lost a early wicket and then runs came freely until we lost our second wicket at 63. We then lost 4-20. A 50 run partnership between A.Ritchard and J.Evans put us back on track and we were bowled out for 204 with 4 overs left. Some rash shots left us 50 runs short of a our target and it was disappointing not to bat the 50 overs. We then came out and bowled and fielded the best we have all year. We had them 4-17 including a specky of a catch by Wes at mid on diving full length. We grounded it out and won by 28 runs with 7 overs left. A great team win.

16/01/2010CreekOneDayThirdLostWCCC 9/173: TVCC in reply 163S.Little 5/33 (10), B. Ashe 44We came into the game knowing we had to beat WCCCand pick up 2 bonus points and hope scores went our way in other matches to make it into finals contention. A disastrous start meant we were always going to struggle in fading light. The batting is a bit of a concern as we resume the two day format however I was proud of the way our lads stayed positive and almost snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Our one day losses of 4 runs and 8 runs over the past fortnight means we now have to concentrate on bringing home the silverware for the two dayers.
16/01/2010CreekTwoDayFirstLostTVCC 186 lost to Creek 8-320 Griffo 42 B.Floros 68 S.Devoy & B.Floros 3 wickets We won the toss and elected to bat. Before a ball had been bowled we lost Jugs to a back injury & Poo Bear was named on our team sheet. Due to some communications problem Poo was also name in 2nd Grade and before he was contacted to play 1st grade he had already gone on the field in 2nd grade. This meant we were a bat down. We lost wickets on regular basis and finished all out for 186 in the 60 over. The highlight being B.Floros batting in the middle order with a well complied 68. After day 1 Creek were 1 for 100. We bowled well on a flat track and gave ourselves a few run out and catching chances but they ended up passing our score 2 down and we finished at tea on day 2 with Creek 8-320.
