Season 1984/1985

After three years in the Canberra City and Suburban Competition, the Tuggeranong Valley Cricket Club was granted admission into the ACT Cricket Association (ACTCA) competition for the 1984/85 season.

 

Season 1985/1986

	Tuggeranong selected as a Pilot Club by the Australian Cricket Board to evaluate Kanga Cricket.
	Total Club membership reaches 839 (136 Senior Men, 10 Women, 448 Junior Boys, 13 Junior Girls, 232 Kanga) and 65 Teams (8 Senior Men, 1 Women's, 1 Intermediate Girl's, 34 Junior Boys, and 20 Kanga).
	Sean McElhinney wins inaugural "TVCC Player of the Year" award.
	Maree Casey selected to represent ACT Women's team.

 

Season 1986/1987

	Club moves from Deakin Soccer Oval to establish a new home at Chisholm Oval.
	Total Club membership falls to 755 (99 Senior Men, 11 Women, 379 Juniors, and 262 Kanga) and 61 Teams (8 Senior Men, 1 Women's, 29 Juniors, and 23 Kanga).
	Kev Flaherty wins ACTCA First Grade Bowling Award.
	Fifth Grade wins Club's first Premiership in the ACTCA.
	Peter Woods and Ken Rooke selected for ACT Senior Representative duties.
	Matthew Ryan and Phil Duke selected in ACT Under 19 team.

 

Season 1987/1988

	Juniors win three premierships (Under 14/5's, Under 13/2's, and Under 13/3's).
	Stewart Ball, Paul Mcpherson, and Cameron Lakeland selected in ACT Under 17 Representative Team.
	Third and Fifth grade win 2-Day premiership.
	Kanga registration reaches 350 boys and girls.
	Michael Bevan moves from Weston Creek Cricket Club to Tuggeranong.
	Peter Woods, Ken Rooke, Michael Bevan, and Sean McElhinney selected for ACT Senior Representative duties and Peter Woods wins the ACTCA Representative Player of the Year.
	Michael Bevan selected in the Australia Country side to play Sri Lanka.
	Matt Ryan, Greg Lemin, and Michael Bevan selected in the ACT Under 19's.

 

Season 1988/1989

	Tuggeranong tours New Zealand 24 March to 2 April 1989.
	Thirty (30) junior teams (U/10 TO U/17) registered in the junior competition.
	Appointment for the first time of a Club Coach (Wayne Campbell).
	Michael Bevan selected into the Australian Under 19 team and contracted to the Australian Cricket Academy.
	Michael Bevan wins ACTCA Representative Player of the Year and also wins Heher Shield for the most outstanding sportsman in the Tuggeranong Valley.
	Daniel Spasic (Under 16 ACT representative) wins Tuggeranong Senior Player of the Year award.

 

Season 1989/1990

Tuggeranong wins its first ACTCA First Grade Premiership and also takes out 6th and 7th Grade titles.

 

Season 1990/1991

	Former Weston Creek junior and Tasmanian Shefield Shield player,Peter Bowler, joins Tuggeranong.
	Juniors win Club Championship.

 

Season 1991/1992

	Tuggeranong wins ACTCA First Grade One-Day Final.
	Tuggeranong wins ACTCA Second Grade Three-Day Final. (Queanbeyan all out 430, TVCC 7/432). John Kidd's wife gives birth to first child mid-way through the match.
	Tuggeranong wins ACTCA Sixth Grade Premiership.
	Juniors win second consecutive Club Championship.

 

Season 1992/1993

	Fifth Grade wins ACTCA One-Day Premiership.
	Juniors win four premierships (Under 12/3, Under 13/4, Under 14/2, and Under 14/5).
	Juniors win third consecutive Club Championship.
	Promising South African Junior, Sean George, plays for Tuggeranong.

 

Season 1993/1994

	Seniors celebrate tenth year in ACTCA Grade Competition.
	Paul Evans who joined Tuggeranong from Weston Creek wins ACTCA awards for Representative Player of the Year, award for best player of the Country Championships, the Don Bradman Trophy for highest batting aggregate at Country Championships, and was selected in the Australian Country Eleven.
	Greg Lemin wins D B Robin Medal for ACTCA Grade Player of the Year.
	Junior registrations increase by 30% on previous year with 460 player registrations and 37 registered teams.
	Juniors win five Premierships and just missing out on wining Club Championship for fifth consecutive year.

 

Season 1994/1995

	Senior Club wins its first Club Championship, Juniors win their fourth Championship.
	Second Grade (One-Day competition) and Fifth Grade (Two-Day Competition) win only premierships for the Club.
	Paul Evans, Dean Lovett, Paul Nemes, Jamie Haynes, Greg Lemin, and David Jeffrey chosen for ACT Representative duties.
	Paul Nemes wins Bill O'Rielly trophey for most wickets at the Country Championships.
	Graham Weber chosen in the ACTCA "B" side.
	Ray Chamberlain and Matt Hardy represent ACT in Under 19 Championships.
	Greg Lemin wins Heher Shield for most outstanding Tuggeraqnong Valley sports person.

 

Season 1995/1996

	Seniors and Juniors win their respective Club Championship for a second consecutive year.
	Premierships to Second Grade and Fifth Grade in the One-Day Competition and to Sixth Grade.
	Paul Evans, Paul Nemes, and Greg Lemin selected for ACT Senior Representative duties.
	Ben Zacny and Michael Asher represent ACT at the Under 19 Championships and Gavin Stone (Capt.), Michael Rossiter, and Stewart Heaney chosen for Under 17 Championships.
	Juniors celebrate twentieth year in competition with Club Championship and four Premierships (Under 12/1, Under 12/5, Under 15/3, and Under 18/1)

 

Season 1996/1997

	First Grade win their second ACTCA Premiership.
	Peter Bowler returns from County Club, Sommerset, England to coach.
	Seniors win Club Championship for third consecutive year.
	Juniors implement an Under 9's competition. This brings the number of registered teams to 41. Kanga (Have a Go) Cricket numbers reach 420 (39 Teams).
	Peter Bowler wins D.B. Robins medal for ACT Grade Player of the Year. Greg Lemin in finishing second gives the Club the quinella.
	Tuggeranong players scoop the pool at ACTCA Presentation Night with Peter Bowler winning D.B. Robins Medal and the Batting Award, Tim Ferguson winning the Bowling Award, and Ray Chamberlain winning the Wicket Keeping Award.

 

Season 1997/1998

	Dave McPherson appointed as Coach for Senior Club.
	Premierships to Third Grade (Two-Day Competition), Fifth Grade (One-Day and Two-Day Competition), and Sixth Grade (City and Suburban Competition).
	Juniors win Club Championship again and take out five of nine Premierships contested.
	Total Junior registration reaches 550. Kanga (Have a Go) Cricket numbers reach 416 (41 Teams)

 

Season 1998/1999

	Seniors and Juniors win respective Club Championships.   Seniors take out Third and Fifth grade One Day premierships and Juniors win Five premierships.
	Senior Club recruits hard hitting Sussex batsman, Chris Adams.   Unfortunately Chris only plays one game and returns home to England.
	Dave MacPherson reappointed as senior coach.
	Matt Armstrong and Grant Miller selected into Australian Under 19 squad.
	John Robson, Tim Ferguson, Evan Kellar, David Jeffrey, Grant Miller and Matt Armstrong selected into Canberra Comets winter training squad.   Juniors have 15 players selected for representative duties.
	The women's side, under coach, Rex Kellar (assisted by Paul Dunn), make the Final for the first time, but unfortunately finish second.
	Have-A-Go cricket registration numbers reach 370 for the season making it the largest provider of organised sport for 5 to 10 year olds in the ACT.

 

Season 1999/2000

	First Grade take out the double with One Day and Two Day Premierships. Second Grade win One Day Premiership.
	Seniors and Juniors both win respective Club Championships for second year in a row.
	John Robson and David Jeffrey make their debuts for the Canberra Comets in the Mercantile Mutual Cup National One Day competition.
	John Robson first ACT player to reach 1000 runs in a season.
	Junior Club numbers increase to 47 teams and 576 registered players. Junior's also end season with 10 minor premierships and a record 7 Premierships.
	Have-a-Go numbers slightly down on last year with 35 teams and 360 registered players.
	Matthew Armstrong, Aaron Cooper, Ben Dennett, Stewart Heaney, and Chris Males selected to represent Act at the Under 19 Championsips, and Denver D Cruz, Sven Holcombe, and Aimus Mansfield selected for Under 17 Championships.

 

Season 2000/2001

	Billy Floros selected to represent Australia in World Indoor Cricket Championships to be held in South Africa.
	John Robson, Tim Ferguson, Stewart Heaney, Sven Holcombe, David Jeffrey and Evan Kellar make the 2000/2001 Comets Squad. Ben Dennett selected for Comets train on squad.
	John Robson selected in the Australian Country side.
	First Grade win back-to-back One Day Premierships. Second Grade win Two Day Premiership. Minor Premiers in First, Second and Fifth Grades.
	TVRU&ASC commit to Chisholm Oval redevelopment. Construction, subject to Local Governement approvals, is expected to be completed for the start of the 2002/2003 season.
	Evan Kellar wins ACT Representative Bowling Averages and Comets Most Outstanding Performance Award. Justin Haywood wins Konica Cup Young Lion Award.

 

Season 2001/2002

	John Robson, Chris Males, Sven Holcombe, David Jeffrey Justin Haywood and Evan Kellar make the 2001/2002 Comets Squad. Dave McPherson appointed as Comets coach.
	Heather McEwin scores inuagural Ton for Tuggeranong in Womens Cricket.
	John Robson and Evan Kellar selected in ACTCA President´s XI against touring New Zealand Test side
	Former Tuggies player, Tim Ferguson, makes debut for Footscray 1st Grade side in VCA.
	Sven Holcombe, and Justin Haywood selected to represent Act at the Under 19 Championsips, and David Griffith, and Dylan Goodsell selected for Under 17 Championships.
	Chris Males selected in the Australian Country side to play New Zealand.
	Fifth Grade win Tuggies only Premiership for the season by winning the Two Day Final.
	Matt Armstrong wins best Bowling Strike Rate Award for the Konica Cup.

 

Season 2002/2003

	John Robson appointed as Tuggeranong coach.
	Dylan Goodsell and David Griffith selected in ACTCA Under 19´s for National Championships.
	Dylan Goodsell, Dean Johnson and Adam Ritchard selected in ACTCA Under 17´s for National Championships.

 

Season 2003/2004

	John Robson re-appointed as Tuggeranong coach.
	Club wins both Senior and Junior Club Championship Awards.
	Chishom oval out for the season as Chisholm Development commences.
	Two Day Premierships to First and Fifth grades. One Day Premiership to Third grade.
	Adam Ritchard and Adam Blacka selected in Australian Under 17´s Development Squad.
	Stewart Heaney scores 160 not out in Cricket Australia Cup against Victoria at Manuka.
	Camiera Cruwys wins ACTCA Womens Cricketer of the Year Award.

 

Season 2004/2005

	Paul Nemes appointed as Tuggeranong coach.
	Second Grade open the season with first game at new Chisholm Oval facilities.
	Adam Blacka, David Griffith, Clinton Mathis and Adam Ritchard selected in ACT Under 19 National Championships Squad.
	Ashton May, Tom Thornton, Clinton Mathis and Adam Tett selected in ACT Under 17 National Championships Squad.
	Adam Ritchard selected by Cricket Australia Youth Selection Panel to attend a training camp at the Commonwealth Bank Centre of Excellence.
	Stewart Heaney plays for PM´s Eleven.
	Club wins Senior Club Championship Award.
	Two Day and One Day premiership doubles for Second and Fourth Grades.

 

Season 2005/2006

	Paul Nemes re-appointed as Tuggeranong coach.
	Stewart Heaney moves to Sydney to play for St George.
	Adam Blacka, Clinton Mathis and Adam Ritchard selected in ACT Under 19 National Championships Squad.
	Adam Tett, Eric Witheridge, Shane Devoy, Tom Thornton, Ashton May, Wade Edmed, and Jason Behrendorff selected in ACT Under 17 National Championships Squad.
	David Jeffrey wins his fifth player of the year award.
	Adam Ritchard represents Australia at under 19 world championships.

 

Season 2006/2007

	Ashton May selected for Australian under 18 squad.
	Adam Ritchard selected to play in PM´s Eleven against the Poms.
	Tuggeranong dominate Twenty/20 competition winning First, Second, Fifth and Womens grades.

 

Season 2007/2008

	Tom Thornton and David Jeffrey jointly win the DB Robin medal for Best and Fairest in the 1st grade competition.

 

Season 2008/2009

	Tom Thornton wins the DB Robin medal for Best and Fairest in the 1st grade competition - second year running.
	Jason Floros picked for the Australian Under 19s to play India in Perth. Gets a man of the match award in his second game.
	Jason Floros and Jason Behrendorff both pick up Rookie state contracts, Floros with Queensland, Behrendorff with Western Australia.
